If this kid is granted eligibility at DeSoto along with the other questionable transfers on the I-20 corridor and Allen then Texas HS has become nothing but a joke
The transfers in 8-6A are crazy. Since Samples was named as HC, there have been 7 transfers to Duncanville, one from Desoto. Of course the DEC will more than likely approve most if not all of them because if you vote against one then your transfer won't get approved. It will be interesting to watch. There is a glimmer of hope, one of D'villes transfers was denied by the DEC, however they can appeal to the UIL.

What is really funny is if the parents really want their kids to get noticed they would move them to a different state entirely. You know every year you scratch your head about a great player that doesn't get any offers? Kids in Texas are penalized for playing in such a highly competitive environment. It is very difficult for a kid to stand out unless you the best of the best. Move your kid Arizona or New Mexico, Arkansas etc and they will probably be all state and get DI offers. I know the adage is to play against the best but the bottom line is the parents are trying to get their kids scholarships. The best way to do that is play a lower level competition and dominate.

The UIL rarely overturns the DEC findings.

They did and the UIL upheld DEC ruling.
