A bleeping disgrace to the game

These two better never step foot on a UIL sanctioned game field ever again. If your parents are on here, congrats you've raised an utter POS human being. I imagine they will use racism as an excuse here shortly, that's usually the "go to" when things like this happen.

Northside ISD is investigating a late-game incident at Friday's game between Jay and Marble Falls. Two Jay players were ejected after they ran into the back of an official.

Obviously intentional. Nothing but a couple of thugs who should not only be kicked off the team, but should be arrested for assault as well.

Why even bring up racism here? And who is they? The same happened with Euless Trinity several years ago when one of their players hit a ref.

they = the two players. As for the rest of your sentence, we'll wait and see.

I actually think when something like this at a sporting event is so blatant there should be criminal charges filed. Yes I know that this sets a precedent that opens up all sorts of gray areas. But this was too blatant and transcends the sporting event. At least they should never be allowed to play again.

Now as to examining the events leading up to this? What!? There is nothing that could justify this. Nothing. Anyone who would take this cheap is not likely behaving out of their normal mode. But this is thug behavior and that has nothing to do with race. Football can teach all kinds of great life lessons and we hope help builds young men with character. But the flip side does exist too, where we have some number of entitled and even dangerous individuals that we look the other way for because they are on the team. So excusing this sends the wrong message.

That's what I'm doing, waiting and seeing. You on the other hand are not and are no help to any cause by throwing out some ignorant statement. I guess the media has you by the balls.

They need to be criminally charged no if's, and's, or but's, about it. Kicked out of school, the whole nine yards.

Should the players? the Coach? or Both be charges with assault, that looks like they were coached to do it.

The coach told them to do that? I haven't seen that reported anywhere. There's no way a coach would have any idea that the kids will follow through with that if there was no discussion between the players and the coach. If reports come out and say the coaches influenced the kids to commit such a horrible act then yes but mentioning the coach doesn't seem fair with the information out at the moment.

Here's the Trinity incident from 7 years ago. Does anyone know what happened to this kid punishment wise?

He was 2nd team all state. He had several offers for D1 programs. After that incident, many of those offers were pulled. He ended up at Sam Houston State and was an all conference safety. He is now a Euless Police Officer.

well, that solves that. I though he might be coaching the safeties at SA Jay.

This kid doesn't play for Jay. You might want to do a little better research before going THERE. Reading these tweets closely reveals he is no Jay player.

“I think it’s unfair to judge the entire Jay football team based on what a couple of people did,” Green said,

Slow down there coach. As the article states, "Before the referee was tackled, two other Jay players had been ejected from the game..."

Not just a couple of players. Seems several members of your team have a thug like attitude and you as a coach should be held accountable for their actions as well.

"including reports of derogatory racial comments that may have been made toward members of the Jay team."

The reporter needs to be a bit more clear about this statement. Who allegedly made derogatory racial comments to whom? You're leaving this wide open to assumptions.

I'm not sure if this is accurate but I was told he went to the districts alternative school or something for the rest of his senior year but he never had charges pressed against him and nobody was saying the program or coaching staff should be punished back then.

My "research" indicates both are Hispanic. The 2nd player was wearing black sleeves and gloves, but looking through his face mask his neck and face are a much lighter.

I could not find that either. But what it does show is the immaturity of teenagers. This should not be rug swept as how this is handled is important beyond this single incident. Not a place to say boys will be boyz or the like is my point.

Then except for those in ET, it's obvious nothing was learned on a state wide level from the punishment given in the E T incident.

Do you really think 15-18 y/o kids are aware of something that happened when they were 8-11 years old? I'm sure the coaches remember that, but I doubt coaches tell their players about a specific event as a way to emphasize why not to attack officials.
