    Frisco and Jerry Jones

    Dear Allen:

    Your stadium sucks!

    Sincerely,
    JJ and FISD

...The first indoor stadium to host high school football home games is halfway finished according to a joint release by the City of Frisco, Frisco ISD and the Dallas Cowboy...

    Seriously though. Your thoughts?

Do we see an influx of star athletes moving into the FISD?

    The game has changed.

Yes. With the land growth in this area, businesses, $$$, and a variety of schools to select from in addition to Jerry World North it is only a matter of time before we see the transfer epidemic heavily in the North.

So are they gonna have 15 high schools?

No hyperbole. That seriously is a possibility. Still some space up there. Frisco growing big!
I still work for the "other" site. Don't ban me. :D

I'm not sure but probably so. Currently they are at 8 right now with 2 in the works. Centennial, Liberty, Frisco, Lone Star, Heritage, Reedy Indenpendence, and Wakeland.

My criteria for a high school stadium is that a high school varsity team play their regular season games there. The Star meets that criteria. I have had it listed since they broke ground:

                Actually, no.

That honor belongs to the Round Valley Ensphere in Eager, AZ. Completed in 1991 at a cost of only $11M. That thing is huge. At 440 feet, it is the 9th largest geodesic dome in the world! It is capable of hosting a football or soccer game, tennis match and basketball or volleyball game all AT THE SAME TIME!

DeathStar Jr. will be tiny by comparison, although it will be a whole lot nicer.

I'm looking forward to when this place opens.

I haven't seen any rendering of what the stands and how the field is going to look on the inside. Has anyone seen that?

By partnership does Jerry's folks mean Frisco taxpayers are footing majority of the bill for JWII?

No. Their portion is capped. I don't remember the exact figures, but from what I remember, Jerry is paying 2/3 of the cost. Any overages will be paid by Jerry as well. Something like $33M for Frisco.

I say the first person who can find renderings of what the inside of this stadium will look like gets HOf status . J/k but it would be nice to see some sketches of what it will look like Inside

Does this entitle me to HOF status?
I know elsewhere it would get me a small bag of dog food...

Just heard that Frisco School Board has approved school #10. Construction starting in Sept with opening fall of 2017. This will give them their own district and a need for three stadiums.

No problem. The Star will be the third stadium for Frisco ISD.

Frisco Memorial Stadium (their original HS stadium)
Toyota Stadium (formerly Pizza Hut Park)
The Star (will be open prior to HS #10)

This link shows some progress of the stadium. It appears the dome for Frisco ISD will be a double deck structure on both sides.
