Mesquite Horn football forced to forfeit win over Duncanville

They are lucky this happened in pre district.

Mesquite Horn will forfeit its varsity football win over Duncanville on Sept. 4 due to playing an academically ineligible player, Mesquite ISD athletic director Steve Bragg said in an email Tuesday. Mesquite Horn beat Duncanville 44-41, winning on a field goal on the final play of the game.
The athlete played in only one varsity game, as a substitute. It leaves Horn with a 1-2 non-district record and will put Duncanville at 2-1.

Thanks, JF for the info. I was unaware of this forfeit and 100% right. Very lucky it was found before district play. But they found it and Jags shouldnt have another issue like this pop up during 10-6A play.
I still work for the "other" site. Don't ban me. :D
