Fenwick was up 10-7 with four seconds left and facing fourth down. They tried to run out the clock by having the quarterback throw a long pass to no one. He was correctly called for intentional grounding, but under NFHS rules this penalty should not have triggered an untimed down and the game should have been over.
Plainfield North used their untimed down to kick the tying field goal and then won in overtime.Comment
