    Former Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade's son works out with San Antonio Spurs

    It seems that the San Antonio Spurs’ history with the Miami Heat isn’t such a complicated relationship these days. While the Spurs’ incredibly talented, yet humble trio of Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker ultimately dominated over a different type of trio to secure the 2014 championship, the San Antonio team recently welcomed the son of a former Heat star to workout here in the Alamo City.

    In 2013 and 2014, the Spurs went head-to-head against the Miami Heat, a team with a far different feel from San Antonio’s pride and joy, in the NBA Finals (more on that later). The Heat had a trio of their own with LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwyane Wade. On Monday, Wade – who spent most of his NBA career in Miami before retiring in 2019 – posted a photo to his Instagram Stories reflecting on Miami’s loss to San Antonio in 2014.

    In the same photo, he may have also hinted at a possible future with the Spurs for his son Zaire, who is no doubt working to follow in his father’s footsteps and played with the Salt Lake City Stars in the NBA G League last season before an injury caused him to be waived.
