Houston Rockets' Patrick Beverley arrested on traffic violations

Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley was arrested Wednesday morning following a traffic stop in Pearland.

The team says Beverley, who missed the Rockets' morning shootaround, has resolved issues related to vehicle registration and an E-Z tag toll road pass.

The team released a statement that read in part, "Those issues have been resolved and the team considers the matter closed. Beverley is available to play against the Nets this evening."

Beverley was pulled over shortly after 9 a.m. at Beltway 8 and Telephone Road. He was taken into custody and transported to a Harris County Precinct 8 Constable's Office station in southeast Houston.

Beverley was briefly held until the fine owed on the warrant was paid via money order. He was released shortly after 11 a.m.

Beverley, 27, hasn't played since getting hit in the head Nov. 4 against Orlando.
