Abilene High and Cooper High both played at home Friday night, where the Eagles split and the Cougars swept.
The Abilene Boys defeated the Weatherford Kangaroos 82-73.
David Russell led the team in scoring as the Eagles pulled away in the second half.
The Lady Eagles lost a nail biter that went down to the final seconds of the game, but ultimately fell to Weatherford 37-35.
The Lady Eagles will head to Haltom next Tuesday, which has huge playoff implications.
The Cooper Boys crushed Lake View, 75-50.
The Cooper Girls also dominated Lake View, 85-26. The Cougars began with 21-0 run to start the game.
Cooper will head to Coronado next Tuesday.
