    ACU women win and men fall vs. A&M/CC

    The ACU women beat Texas A&M/Corpus Christi at Moody Coliseum, but the men lost to the Islanders down in Corpus Christi on Wednesday night. 
    The ACU Women survived a scare from Texas A&M/Corpus Christi on Wednesday night at Moody Coliseum to post a 61-59 victory. 
    The Wildcats were led in scoring by Sierra Allen with 11 points for head coach Julie Goodenough. Lexi Kirgan was right on Allen's heals with 10 points on the night. 
    Defensively, the Wildcats were strong. They held the Islanders to just 34% shooting from the field on the night. 
    Down in Corpus Christi, the ACU men struggled to get the offense on  track and lost to the Islanders, 80-66. 
    Jalone Friday led the Wildcats in scoring against A&M/Corpus Christi with 16 points. 
    Tre Gray led the Islanders in scoring with 20 points. 
    ACU falls to 5-4 in Southland Conference play with  the loss. 
    The Wildcats play Lamar next Wednesday night. 
    The men host the Cardinals. The women travel down south to visit Lamar.
