Wylie is excited for district championship game

The Wylie Bulldogs are just five days from their showdown with the Stephenville Yellowjackets for the District championship. Both teams are ranked in the top twenty by Harris Ratings, and they are both 3-0 in district play.
The best two teams in the district are getting ready to collide.
This seems like the kind of game you want to be in when you are football player.
Josh Goodnature said, "It's exciting. Especially since it's our last [district] game as seniors. It's a big game. You know we want to come out on top. We're very confident that we will, but just knowing that it's our last game to go out and get another gold ball for district."
Hugh Sandifer said, "It's got playoff atmosphere, and that's good getting ready to go into the playoffs, but it's exciting. I mean as a high school football player we feel very grateful that we're in a game that's meaningful, and it's got some attention. It's two undefeated teams playing for the district championship, so it's exciting. You couldn't ask for more to end the regular season."
Wylie is 6-2 overall. Stephenville is 7-2 overall. Wylie is riding a 4-game winning streak. Stephenville is riding a 3-game winning streak.
The Bulldogs and Jackets meet in Stephenville on Friday night.
