    CHS Conversation:Cooper is focused

David Robinett said, "Coach Moebes, good win for your team. They answered the bell after a couple of loses. I'm imagining that it made you proud the way the guys answered the call."
Cooper head coach Todd Moebes said, "It was great to see them in action that Friday and and being able to respond, but it's something we saw Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in practice, and really through our walk through sessions on Thursday. They were very focused and responded competitively."
Robinett said, "Let's talk about the way Tyrees is playing right now. It's lights out, quite frankly. He's over 1,000 yards, already. Are you surprised at how he's come on this year, or not?"
Coach Moebes said, "No, I think we saw glimpses of it the past couple of years. Over the past couple of years, we were able to have two backs that we could get the ball to consistently, which helped both of them stay fresh. That's what we've got to continue to do with Tyrees. He's got to be able to have a work load on Friday, but we can't wear him down to the fact that he's slowing up. He's our guy. He's the one we are giving it to, and he's done a tremendous job and we are really proud of how he's trusting those guys in front of him."
Robinett said, "District continues this week against Lubbock High. It's a short week. Does anything change with you guys having to play on Thursday?"
Coach Moebes said, "Not really. We are just trying to cram three days of practice into two. We are just trying to take our segments that we leave for just our Wednesday practice and trying to find out we are going to piece them into Monday and Tuesday."
