    Dorrel pleased with Wildcats fight

The ACU Wildcats fell to 2-2 in Southland Conference play and 2-4 overall on Saturday with a 13-7 loss at home to nationally ranked McNeese State.
The offense never could get things going against the Cowboys even though the defense was holding fast.
They didn't get the win, but head coach Adam Dorrel liked the way his team fought.
Adam Dorrel said, "I think the number one thing is defensively we played extremely hard, we played really well, real gap sound, tackled well, had a couple really big plays defensively and against a great football team so that's the number one thing we can take away. Our kids, they weren't intimidated by McNeese, and sometimes that's easier said than done when you haven't been good and the team you're playing has a tradition and a history of being good. So those are the main things I took away, I thought we did a lot of good things."
The Wildcats are back on the road this week.
They travel to Thibodaux, Louisiana to take on Nicholls State at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
