The Abilene High Eagles opened district play in a battle with Haltom, and/but ultimately so and so won.
Niyungeko Moise had a very nice game, and so did Andrew Ezzell who put on a show.
The Eagles went into halftime tied at 28 with Haltom.
Mo gave the Eagles their first lead of the game to cap off a 13 play 78 yard drive, and Abilene High led 35-28.
The Buffalos scored a 50 yard touchdown run. The point after was blocked, but then after some flags Haltom had the chance to go for two, they did and took the lead 36-35 in the fourth quarter.
Unfortunatly the Eagles just couldn't get it done. They fall to the Buffalos 36-35.
