Wylie is prepared for first road game

The Wylie Bulldogs are making this football thing look easy with two easy victories at home to start the season.

This week, head coach Hugh Sandifer and his team go on the road for the first time this year. The game is the same but being on the road presents a different challenge.

Hugh Sandifer said, "It is a challenge when it's a bunch of new guys especially with the length of this trip. I mean 240 miles, so it's going to be quite a bus trip. Going to a 5A school on their homecoming game and a pretty tough place to play, there's a lot of challenges, and you just hope you prepare your kids well enough that when it's game time they can relax and play football."

Connor Carlton said, "In the locker room coach Sandifer always says, let's turn this place into Bulldog Stadium, and that's what we try to do. You know we try to make it our home field and take advantage of it. That's just how we treat it every week."

The undefeated Bulldogs are headed north to Denison to play the undefeated Yellow Jackets. They start at 7:30.
