Top Matchups: AHS vs. Timber Creek, CHS vs. Coronado

The Abilene High Eagles finish the regular season at Shotwell Stadium against Keller Timber Creek, and Texas Football Magazine says the winner will claim the District 3-6A championship.
The Eagles are the defending champions, and by the time they meet the Falcons, the young team that started the season will be seasoned vets.
Only six Eagles enter the season as returning starters, but they've seen what it takes to win over the last three seasons.
Timber Creek returns eight starters from a fourth place team in 2016.
Fourth place doesn't sound like much, but it was good enough to give them their first playoff appearance in school history.
The Eagles are hoping they can match the 25 point beating they gave the Falcons last year.

Shotwell is going to be a busy place in Week 11.
Cooper hosts Lubbock Coronado that Thursday night. Both teams start the season in the Texas Football Top 25, and the District 4-5A title will be on the line.
Coronado won last year's meeting in Lubbock to earn a three-way split of the district championship with Cooper and Monterey.
Coronado quarterback Quay Gray is the preseason Offensive MVP in the district and threw 53 touchdown passes in 2016. Cooper is loaded with returning skill players on offense, but enter the year looking for eight new starters on defense.
Week 11 should be fun with district title games at Shotwell Stadium on back to back nights.
