Wylie Tops #1 Argyle In "Flawless" Performance

Brooks Pepper helps power Wylie to a 3rd round 35-14 victory over #1 Argyle on Friday night in Mineral Wells.
The Bulldogs running back rushed for three touchdowns, and Zach Smith found the end zone a couple of times.
That was enough to give Wylie the victory.
Wylie defense was strong all night long and held a really good Argyle offense to just a pair of touchdowns.
After the game, head coach Hugh Sandifer said, It feels great. It feels good to play at Thanksgiving, but it's really neat playing in December. We told them it would be more than emotion. It would be execution. I thought we were flawless, for the most part, tonight."
The Bulldogs will take on Levelland in the Class 4A Division I state quarterfinals next week.
