Eagles Make Adjustments and Finish Strong

The AHS Eagles are showing that they know how to make adjustments and finish games strong. Here is head coach Del Van Cox's conversation with David Robinett.

David Robinett said, "Coach Cox another good win for your guys and another fast start for your team. This is just becoming a regular thing. That's got to make you feel good that this is happening. They got it going after the first quarter."

AHS head coach Del Van Cox said, "With the 3-3 stack defense that they proposed on us with lots of blitzing in a full speed setting and it took a little bit of time to figure out exactly where the blitzes were coming from and our kids did a good job of adjusting to the speed and adapting top it."

Robinett said, "Adjustments, not everybody can make them and not everybody can get their kids to adjust on the fly. Your guys do that. Why are they so willing and able to do it."

Coach Cox said, "Our guys see lots of schemes with our blocking assignments coach Martinez does a great job of getting our guys to know the rules for blocking, and they did a great job of adjusting and making sure they adjusted to the speed of the game."

Robinett said, "Abram Smith passes Herschel and that's a big name to be passing. What has Abram meant to the program, and what he means to the program right now?"

Coach Cox said, "He's a really good back. He's a special kid, a special football player. He brings a lot to our offense and our team, and he's done a great job of leading us."
