Eagles Have Work to Do in Spring Practice

The Abilene High Eagles are playoff regulars, and the plan for head coach Del Van Cox and his team is for that to continue in the 2016 season.

That goal makes this time of year very important.

The coaches have to find eleven new starters, and eleven players have to step up and earn those jobs.

Coach Del Van Cox said, "It's to make sure we polish up our insertion schedule, as far as, our base offense, and our adjustment's on defense and make sure that we have on everything on that we need to have on. Just get to where we can execute it at a great pace, and flawlessly. That's what we are looking for."

Spring football practice continues until May 20th when the Eagles play their Black/Gold game.

They will also host the Game of Champions for special needs kids that night.

The 2016 season starts on August 26th at San Angelo Central.
