    Cowgirls Fall 12-0 To UT-Dallas

    ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' softball team fell 12-0 to Texas Dallas in American Southwest Conference action at Ellis Field on Friday afternoon.



    The Comets took control of the game with six runs with two outs in the first inning. The big blow was a three-run double by Kendall Moore.



    In the second inning Moore had another RBI single to make it 7-0 and UTD scored two more times in the fourth inning on RBIs by Sarah Morales and Stefanie Polderman. The Comets added three runs in the fifth.



    The Cowgirls managed five hits in the game off Lauren McLeod. McLeod stuck out five to improve to 3-2 on the year.



    Tori Rodriguez started for the Cowgirls and allowed three hits and three walks in two-thirds of inning and six runs came home. She fell to 2-3 on the year. Olyvia Hamilton allowed six runs on eight hits in relief.



    KeAmbria Hunter had two hits for the Cowgirls and Polderman led UTD with three hits and Moore had two hits and drove in four runs.



    The Cowgirls are now 4-4 on the year and 0-4 in league play. UTD improved to 5-3 overall and 4-0 in ASC play. The teams will play an 11 a.m. doubleheader on Saturday.
