I didn't want to be the first person to bring it up this week... but I've been thinking the same thing. We've never shut the Woodlands out, though. It'll be a pretty big achievement if we pull that off.

Came close to getting the shutout in 2013....Remember Woods scoring on a hook and lateral and then again late in the game.

Well, boys(and girls) it was a classic defensive struggle with Katy prevailing with :21 secs left in game 14-7.
I've never seen so many 3rd or 4th and shorts.
Refs struggled in this game as did both offenses. For Katy it was a plethora of dropped passes.
Both defenses were ready.

I don't think qb play was the issue last night dropped passes all night long he had maybe 1 incompletion on an off throw some of those drops were costly those and fumbles could have easily been 28-7 or better

CHILL has turned into one of those arrogant big mouths. Win a few titles then all of a sudden he acts like his team has been Katy like for decades. He's become one of the more arrogant posters I've seen in quite some time.

CHill won't have anything to answer for. I don't blame him for wanting to play against Katy and Doiron.

After the fumble at the goal line Doiron slapped away the hand of a teammate trying to bring him to the sidelines and away from the ref who made the call, then he tossed a ball at a ball boy too hard. That might sound silly, but when a 10-year-old kid puts his hands up for the ball you don't chunk it at him in frustration. Kid has a long way to go and I don't think he'll get there.

My response about Doiron was he look scare last year and doesn't look very comfortable throwing the ball under pressure. It's no slight against the player or the team, it's just an observation and I'm sure that's an area he's improve in.

I'm in the minority here.....I don't think Katy played a "BAD" game.....give The Woodlands credit....their defense is legit. Came into the game giving up 14 points in two games is impressive to everyone but a Katy fan...remember Katy fans were crying that Katy gave up too many yards on the ground(35-145) to Kingwood...and hadn't given up a score yet. It was good to see Katy's starters not have to wait until the State Semi's to play all 4 quarters. When was the last time Katy won a game and didn't get to play "Hey Baby"? Rewatching the game...Doiron did well, lots of drops. Score could've easily been 28-7 at the half......but The Woodlands came to play. Katy was missing one of, if not the best OLinemen so far this game, a soph was thrown into the fire against a stout D and did well....he's a big kid, about 6'7 so this should help with Depth on the OL.....was also missing RB Copeland who is a key in the offense when it comes to packages with he and Porter in the backfield at the same time........on to district.

The offense self destructed several times, and the Tigers still beat a good team.
