Friday game will keep a lot from going to Austin.
It should still be a decent crowd.Leave a comment:

Offensive line should be HUGE.....watching Glass behind them will be fun. I
I'm excited to see what Longacre can do with the offensive line. He'll have multiple returners for once, and there were a lot of sophomores with good size who moved up in the playoffs. I think we're in a pretty good place right now with what's coming back on offense.
I'm not worried about the defense at all. I've been watching Katy for 13 seasons and I can only think of one or two playoff games where the loss was on the defense.Leave a comment:

Score 1 for Dada.....62 pointsI have a feeling they will be historically good. Last season they had 5 shutouts and 5 other games where teams scored late in the 4th on 3rd string...155 points in 16 games...I think they are capable of going sub 100. There was a point last season to where the Defense SCORED more points on the year than they gave up👍 1Leave a comment:

So I'm hearing Katy could have another Soph starting on defense and a super freshman who won't be on varsity only because of depth at his position.Leave a comment:

He's going to be a JR....he moved in from Conneticut right before school started....this will be his first Katy off-season. Was moved up in the playoffs and did great...due to duplicate numbers players wear during the playoffs, people assumed he was someone else...a SR that wore the same number.
Uh-oh.
Anyone from DFW, besides Farmer, want to address this?

Katy will destroy 7Lakes, 7Lakes doesn't have a chance. They lost way too much on defense and they don't have a QB that can throw, one dementional offense Katy will eat up! Cinco is the only team with a chance and a slim chance at that. Cinco's defense will be very good and they have an athletic QB that can throw, athletic QB'S always give Katy issues. The Cinco Katy game will be the best game of the district. If Cinco can gain some momentum early they have a chance to be in the game in the 4th quarter, but it's Cinco so it ain't gonna happen.Leave a comment:

From NHSFB & Dallas Jackson on 19-6A: Katy dominates.

It's only natural from a fans perspective to want to change things up a bit from time to time. I know watching Trinity games over the years the offense would become so predictable to me anyway. I could sit up there and knowing the down and distance and other situational factors, I would literally be able to predict what play they were about to run. On the rare chance they did something unpredictable and it worked, it was like a god send. Ip even if the result would have likely been the same, I was happier seeing something different than the same ole same ole.Leave a comment:

Like, Student Body Middle?I even spoke with the great KT2000 and he told me to expect a few new wrinkles in the Katy offense to fit the talent they have.

I would like to see some mis-direction.Leave a comment:

Yes I've heard of it, and that's be the knock on most Katy RB's going to the next level. Many say "anyone could run behind that Katy line, in that system", Porter has the disadvantage of playing behind perhaps the best two RB's to come through Katy. Also, KaDarius Page and Kevon Copeland will be names known around the state soon.Leave a comment:

Hey Dada, you've heard of system QB's. Don't you think there are system RB's as well? Perhaps it is the system that lead to the RB's individual success. Maybe or maybe not. I suspect there is something to that though, so I am guessing they'll be fine.Leave a comment:

Can Kyle Porter carry the torch? There have been rumblings on social media that Katy has "Lost their stud RB" so it could be a changing of the guard in Region 3. The same rumblings that happened when Aundre Dean graduated....then Donovon Young....then Adam Taylor.......Can Porter keep the ground game moving? I even spoke with the great KT2000 and he told me to expect a few new wrinkles in the Katy offense to fit the talent they have. Can Porter be the next great one?
