No offense, Green is not even in the DFW top five rating as a QB and over hype for a small state player.

I like this idea a lot. I also think kids should be able to home school at the states expense and then be able to chose which program they want to play for as welk

Oh yeah! Been watching Eagle football since they were being bullied by all the other 5As in the early 90s.

I know some of us harp on the transfer aspect but when I take the transfer goggles off its hard to say there's ever been a QB I Texas Hs football who was as great as Murray was over 3 years. We will be talking about him when we are all in senior care facilities

After seeing Allen play twice that year before Murray was inserted as the starter including the Coppell game when he took over the position in the 2nd quarter it was obvious he was the sprk they needed that year. Without him their offense would have been very average at best

They play him just a little in the opening game at Cedar Hill in 12 and I look at a couple of people I was with and we where in awe. Our only chance that night was with the QB that end up being one of the WRs a couple weeks later, we knew then, Allen was in a very good place with this type of player. There is no doubt he was the difference in 12 against that Lamar team, I watch it in person after Katy ran the FB down CH throat.

they played an undefeated Mesquite team who kept the game close for 2.5 quarters. Allen had no answer for the ends or OLbs of Mesquite. The game was tied at halftime. Murray was able to escape the pressure in the 2nd half and made 2 heroic plays that put the game out of reach for Mesquite.

I I laugh at the notion, "I don't know about a 2nd round loss in 2012 or 2013, I don't remember who they played". Pretty much admitting you don't know what you're talking about.

You be around long enough, read the DMN article that has been posted on both sites, this issue has been around for over 50 years, and the DEC is the system in place policing their own districts under the UIL guidelines.

    lol that's cute!

No way In hades would they have won a state title without Murray. It would have been the traditional 2nd round exit like Allen had come accustomed to without Murray.

no! The UIL is not in the business to monitor anything other than turning a profit at the expense of teenage boys and girls. The last thing the UIL cares about is doing the right thing

This whole notion of it helps their athletic careers by transferring is actually a bunch of bunk and a cop out for breaking the rules and cheating

In the short term the transfer works, but if you do it enough much of your home grown talent will leave the team and depth will suffer

In 2012 the Allen offense was very average with Oliver Pierce at QB. He was not a good thrower and didn't have the intangibles that Murray did when it came to knowing when to tuck it and run. Pierce seemed to always be a run first QB to where Murray was a pure QB who would only take off running as a last resort. Murray knew how to work through his progressions even as a sophomore.

When Allrn went to play at Coppell their first 4 possessions might have totaled 90 yards of offense and 0 points. They were fortunate Coppell settled for 2 FGs and 1 TD during that time and were only down 13-0. Murray was inserted into the game in the late 2nd quarter and damn near almost won the game for Alken. Allen lost by 3 in OT. If Pierce stays in that game then Allen might have scored 7 points. Murray over the next 3 years would not relinquish his position at QB.

Allen definitely gets walked off the field by Mesquite in the 2nd round that year without Murray playing QB.

That at transfer alone is what propelled Allen from becoming a good, perennial 2 round team into a great, state championship team. Last year alone their top 2 rushers had both transferred into Allen after they began HS, their 2nd leading WR was a senior transfer on top of others.

I mi believe that is what backer is getting at
