Okay. I guess you've got a few years on me then. My daughter is starting at Trinity (Sophomore year) in just over a month.

Enjoy these years, they go by very quickly. Is she in any extra-curricular activities??

The "13" was my oldest son's number when he played in 8th grade and Frosh ball back in '01 & 02. I've just been too lazy to change it over the years.



I'm old enough that I played against both Lydell Mitchell (Penn St./Colts) and Franco Harris (Penn St./Steelers) when I was in HS in New Jersey many moons ago.

Carpenter played for Texas North back when I cared about Texas North, I've seen him play. Gregory I think played for TCU. Pretty good stuff you bring up.

I sure wish my folks would have kept the program from when my HS team played against Franco Harris and his HS team in the New Jersey PO's. Sadly, though, it was lost in a later house move.

Did you know that the old bleachers at Fair Park stadium were hauled there from old TCU's field in Ft Worth? Neither did I but that's what they say.

#31 Jimmy Millerman(playing under coach P.E. Pete Shotwell) sets precedence for the upcoming coach Chuck Moser to take the reign at AHS fall 1953. Pic was made at Amarillo(Eagles as visitor team wears their white jerseys) Fall 1952, Jimmy, carrys the ball over for AHS' TD. Thanks, to Bobby Jack Oliver(AHS'54), extra point, Eagles "barely edge" Amarillo High.

Notice how it went up a dime the following year? That's a big jump back in the day.

Google around the net, you never know. I think the person who found these saw them for sale in Ebay or something. It would be great to see your old program!

I've got some pictures of some games at the old field, seems to be as far back as the 20's or so. I'll get around to posting them.

Those guys were tough. As you said, no FM, little padding. Lots of broken noses and teeth I bet! That happening today would place a pro player on IR!
