Pretty sure it is, I didn't make the reservations.

I'll be with the Abilene boys. If you run across us, ask for Greg and introduce yourself! We should get there around 10am Friday.

It’s also going to be extremely hot, which is no surprise in the middle of July in Texas. But next week’s 7-on-7 tournament — here’s more info about this year’s teams, pools, etc. — is also a lot of fun to watch. Coming about a month before fall practice kicks into gear for most teams, you can feel the buzz of the upcoming football season.
Here are some of the top quarterbacks and receivers from the Dallas area who are expected to be there:
    Quarterbacks
    Tristen Wallace, DeSoto
    Shane Buechele, Arlington Lamar
    Bowman Sells, Lovejoy
    Chris Robison, Mesquite Horn
    Avery Davis, Cedar Hill

    Wide receivers
    Kofi Boateng, Arlington Lamar
    Aaron Fuller, Lovejoy
    K.D. Nixon, DeSoto
    Adewale Omotosho, Plano East
    Jared Atkinson, Mesquite Horn
    Obi Obialo, Coppell
    Zach Farrar, Southlake Carroll

Shane Buechele is currently in Portland, Oregon at the Elite 11 finals. Through 5 days he's ranked #1 out of 18 QB's. He's going against the top QB's in the nation and has performed at a level that has surprised a lot of people including ex NFL QB Trent Dilfer. DIlfer has compared him to Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers. If he makes it in for the state tourney watch out.

We will head out early Friday morning and stay the night. Got rooms at the somewhat new Best Western across the street so parking won't be too much of an issue.

Looking forward to seeing all the great talent and sending SLC packing!

I like Manvel to win the whole thing but anything can happen so we'll see.

Know Horn has a couple ot 6'3" receivers but not much else about them. Someone said Horn was best Dallas area team and Manvel best Houston area team. Not sure about that, but I know Manvel is loaded with D1 kids at almost every position

Abilene and SLC in the same pool. Should be interesting to see how we defend their receivers.

Manvel and Mesquite horn game seems to be one to watch from what i am hearing. I know it should make it interesting that Katy plays on field 9 at 1,3,5 on friday and Manvel Plays on field 9 at 2,4,6 on friday. Depending on how the pools shake out Manvel and Katy could play game One on Saturday

I know nothing about 7 on 7 but Pool C looks stacked. Somerset has the Nephew of Ty and Koy Detmer in Zachary Dinkelman. Desoto, Cinco, and Temple usually have good teams. Pool L in D1 looks pretty tough as well.
