It’s been a paradise of riches for Serra’s football team since starting the season 1-2, especially on the offensive front.
But the Padres weren’t bad on defense either Saturday, recording five first-half interceptions in a 52-21 West Catholic Athletic League victory over visiting Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Chris Park had two interceptions and also returned a fumble 80 yards for a score for No. 6 Serra (5-2, 4-0), whose offense racked up 360 of its 480 yards in the first half when it took a 48-14 lead.
Isiah Kendrick rushed 10 times for 61 yards and two scores.
