Top 25 football: Bay’s best dominate

There were no byes last week among the The Chronicle’s top 25 football teams and the Bay Area’s best went 21-4 with all four losses coming to other ranked teams.

Previous No. 21 California-San Ramon and No. 22 Miramonte-Orinda left the rankings, replaced by No. 24 Aragon-San Mateo and No. 25 Fremont-Oakland.

But both the newcomers will have huge challenges to stay in the rankings. Aragon travels to 19th ranked and defending PAL Bay champion Menlo-Atherton, while Fremont hosts eight-time defending Oakland Section and 10th-ranked McClymonds-Oakland at Curt Flood Field.

The top six spots remained the same and previous No. 8 San Ramon Valley-Danville and previous No.
