Astros fans' excitement continues to rise

You can call it jubilation, call it mania, call it a good case of orange crush fever -- whatever it is, Houston has it bad and Astros fans are feeling it in a big way, especially after Sunday’s win against the Kansas City Royals.

“I feel ecstasy, elation, ah, shucks man, I’m just feeling it. This crowd is so energetic it’s unbelievable," Astros fan Charles Cusack said Sunday after the game.

Christa McGee could barely contain her excitement as she walked out of Minute Maid Park, saying, “The crowd was amazing. We’re going to keep on going and win the World Series. Daaaaah!”

For Mike Briles, an Astros season ticket holder for the last 19 years, Sunday’s game was one of his best days ever at the ballpark.

“What’s fixing to happen is we’re going to the World Series," Briles said. "ESPN predicted it, you guys at KPRC predicted it, and it’s happening. You’ve got nothing but great young players out here who are filled with energy."

There were plenty of favorite moments for the fans, like when Colby Ramus blasted a shot that went so high it hit the ceiling at Minute Maid Park.

On Monday, fans hope for another stellar performance from the team that has inspired so many people to believe in the Astros again.
