The Eastland Mavericks season came to an end at the hands of undefeated Shallowater in Sweetwater on Thursday night.
The Mustangs put up the only 28 points in the first quarter.
Eastland would get on the board in the second, when Behren Morton found Alex Gonzales who took it 40 yards down the sidelines down to the 5 yard line. Morton would cap off the drive with a one yard touchdown run.
The Mavericks put up 21 points in the game, but it was not enough to catch up to sixth ranked Shallowater.
The Mustangs came away with the region semifinal win, 56-21 over the Mavericks.
Eastland ends the season with a 9-4 record.
