Warren's Wisdom:Get the ball to Rae

David Robinett said, "It's time for Warren's Wisdom and we are going to talk a little bit more about high school football. The Abilene High Eagles broke their losing streak and got their first district win. One of the keys to that was getting the ball to Raekwon Millsap. Coach Cox said he wanted to get the ball to him, and he did 18 times and Raekwon really showed up."
Steve Warren said, "Yeah, he did. Rae is the playmaker on that team on both sides of the football. He's a very talented young man. He's very experienced, and kudos to the coaching staff for finding ways to get it to him. They snapped it to him in the "Dirty Bird" something that hadn't done all year and continued to throw it to him. The quarterback had a great night. You know, you get the ball in the playmakers hands and he's going to make plays, and he did."
Robinett said, "It sounds easy enough. You got to get into Raekwon's hands. It's not that easy is it?"
Warren said, "It's really not that easy, especially when you've got a guy going two ways. Obviously, defenses are keyed in on trying to stop Rae. He's the focal point. He's the best athlete on the field when Abilene High's offense is out there. That's why you saw Wes Berry become such a factor offensively because everybody focus was on Rae. Getting him the football is very important. He made some plays out there and helped them to get a win."
