The Abilene High Eagles enter week 8 of the high school football season without a district victory, but they are not out of the playoff picture, yet.
Last week, the Eagles needed to win three of their last four. Now after losing to Central, 7-3, they have to win their final three games to have a chance.
It's getting desperate, but head coach Del Van Cox says his team is up to the challenge.
Del Van Cox said, "Yeah, got a shot. You got a shot. We will probably be in some sort of tie. We don't know with who yet. There's still a lot left to be played, yet. We've got to focus on winning one, and getting that feeling under our belt, and this week, we've got to get it done."
The Eagles are headed east to Weatherford to take on the Kangaroos. The 'Roos are still looking for their first win of the season.
