    ACU's Denmark is ideal student-athlete

Head coach Adam Dorrel's ACU Wildcats put up a good fight against nationally ranked McNeese State on Saturday, but came out on the wrong side of the score.
The defense was great in the game, and gave up just thirteen points.
Sam Denmark entered the season as a preseason all-conference pick, and he's lived up to the hype.
The Wildcats' senior has thirty tackles and an interception.
He is clearly a leader on that side of the ball.
Adam Dorrel said, "Sam, in my opinion, epitomizes what you want an ACU student athlete to look like. When I say he does everything right, he literally does everything right. He goes to class, he not only goes to class, he's like a 3.6, 3.7 GPA, he's an engineering major. If you look at his community service hours he's one of the tops on the team. His practice habits, the way he lifts weights, he's just literally excellent in everything that he does and we're really proud of him."
Denmark and the Wildcats head east this week to Thibodaux, Louisiana for their game with Nicholls.
They kick at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
