Wylie looks to recover during their open week

The Wylie Bulldogs are 3-2 after dominating the Brownfield Cubs on Friday night.
    They won the game, 50-7.
The defense was dominant and didn't allow Brownfield to score until the 4th quarter.
The offense moved the ball at will all night long and gained 465 total yards.
The rushing attack was most impressive with over 380.
This week is one of two open dates for Hugh Sandifer's team. It's a week to rest, recover, and get better.
Hugh Sandifer said, "Number one concern of us is to get people healthy. You know we had five or six guys the other night that are starting players that didn't suit out. You know we've got to get our guys back on the field. If we want to be successful in district play we need to have our best players on the field."
Sam King said, "It's a bye week, it's not an off week, but just we'll do the same stuff. Just work on what we need to work on. I mean we need to work on staying together. We need to have a high level of intensity this week. I mean stay together when we're not together is our biggest thing."
District starts next Friday against the Brownwood Lions.
Both will enter the game ranked in the Harris Ratings Top 25.
