    Cooper beats Keller 48-35

The Cooper Cougars have started the 2017 football season with a 1-0 record.
"It feels good, everything that we've worked for, started 2 a days August 14th, all the extra workouts, everything we've put in, all the work, it paid off," Myller Royals said. "I'm glad with my team and the result we have right now."
This one was very back and forth throughout the whole game, but the offensive trio of Ender Freeman, Myller Royals, and Tyrees Whitfield gave Cooper the advantage over the Indians.
"Basically I feel like everybody on the field is just trying to do everything to help the team out, so if that's from catching the ball, Tyrees running the ball, Ender doing whatever he needs to do, O-Line blocking, everything that needs to be done, I feel like it got executed tonight so I thank them for that," Royals said.
The Cooper defense was able to force multiple interceptions.
The Cougars host Grapevine at Shotwell Stadium next Friday.
