The second round of the high school football playoffs is underway, and the Roscoe Plowboys got a jump on the rest of the Big Country on Thursday night.
Roscoe headed west to Post to face Crosbyton.
Plowboys were down early, but they senior quarterback Brayden Beal keeps the ball and turns on the wheels. A 90 yard touchdown for the Plowboys ties up at 7.
Now Roscoe is down 21-7 later in the quarter. Beal goes to Jose Ortega who has plenty of blockers, and Ortega makes them all miss. That's another Plowboy touchdown to cut into Crosbyton's lead.
Crosbyton led 29-14 in the first quarter, but Roscoe outscored the Chiefs 65-15 to end the game.
79 points is the most they've scored since 1930 when they scored 105.
