Dallas Cowboys Working Together At Minicamp

The Dallas Cowboys are on day two of mandatory minicamp at Valley Ranch.

The team can't work out in full pads through any of the practice sessions in minicamp, but that doesn't mean this week won't be helpful.

Head Coach Jason Garrett believes that his players will get the most out of camp from being together and working as a unit.

"I do think with quarterbacks and receivers, working together is important, and they work together a lot of different ways, throwing routes on air, throwing one-on-ones, seven-on-seven, and then ultimately some team drills, so I think it's important to go through each of those stages," said Garrett. "Those progressions are important for those guys to get comfortable with each other, but the practice tempo should be the same. They'll be some competitive situations that we'll be in, but again, we talk to our team all the time about competing the right way, and we value practice, so we understand there's a good foundation there, but they have to get back to work together."

The minicamp finishes up on Thursday, and the team won't meet again until training camp in Oxnard, California on July 28th.
