Albany Trying To Manage Hetic Week

The Albany Lions and other Big Country schools are trying to manage a crazy week this week with graduation and the playoffs this week.

The Lions are playing their playoff series with Lockney early in the week with Game 1 on Wednesday and Game 2 on Thursday.

It's hectic, but it's worth it.

Head coach David Fairchild said, "Well, it gives us two days. It's kind of crazy with all of the activities going on, but we're going to go on a Wednesday and a Thursday, so that's something we've got to get across to our kids to say mentally ready and be focused with two days of preparation."

Drew Neece said, "It'll be a pretty hectic week, but a fun one, too. If we can get out there and get the win and have graduation on Friday, it should be pretty fun."

The Lions start their series with Lockney in Plainview at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Game 2 is Thursday at McMurry at 4 p.m.

If Game 3 is needed, it will follow Game 2 on Thursday.
