Lady Lions Feel Confident Heading to Regional Finals

The Brownwood Lady Lions lead a group of four Big Country teams battling for two spots in the State Softball Tournament.

The Lady Lions swept Big Spring over the weekend to move to the regional finals.

Brownwood is rolling with wins in fifteen of it's last sixteen games, and they believe that can take that next step to the state tournament.

Ashley Gomez said, "I feel like if we play at our best potential we have a chance to make to the state championship. We just have a lot of talent, and I think, as long as we keep pushing ourselves to do our best, we can make it there."

Head coach Jessica Lynn said, "I have complete confidence, if we come out each and every game and play the way we know how to play, we're going to be really hard to beat. I think we can make it as far as we want to go as long as we show up each game."

The Region I-4A regional finals is an all Big Country affair.

Brownwood and Snyder start their series in Hawley on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Game 2 is Saturday back in Hawley at 1 p.m.
