Clyde Not Satisfied With Run To 4th Round

The Clyde Lady Bulldogs are one of four Big Country schools still alive in the high school softball regional semifinals.

Making it so far is an accomplishment because this is Clyde's first trip this deep with head coach Erica Jones leading the program.

It's been a good ride for the girls, and Jones says her team is happy; however, they are not satisfied, at all.

"It's been a little bit of a celebration, at first, but then we re-focused on what we need to do next," Jones said. "We're in Clyde, so Clyde softball is expected to win, so it's one of those things where you celebrate it, but then you have to move on and re-focus."

"Winning on Friday was super exciting just because it's Coach Jones' first time to go this far, as well as ours, so it's just super exciting to not get beat the third round," senior Kenedee Reeves said.

The Lady Bulldogs continue the playoffs Friday night in Forsan against Kermit.

Game two starts at 6 p.m., game two is Saturday at 2 p.m., and then the winner of that series will take on the winner of Colorado City and Shallowater.
