HSU Looks To Rebound From Tough Week

The HSU Cowboys were looking good at the top of the American Southwest Conference West Division last week, but they stumbled two times over the weekend.

That two game losing streak helped them fall to second place in the division.

It was a tough couple of days for the Cowboys, but they have a plan to bounce back this weekend against crosstown rival McMurry.

Rian Stubbs said, "We'll just get better at what we do. We're not going to change anything or do anything different than we have. Whether it's McMurry or whoever it was, coming off two losses, we have to get back on track somehow. It just happens to be McMurry this week, and we're just going to go in there and try to win."

Cameron Barnes said, "Mentally, just getting mentally prepared. It's pretty significant for us because our past coach, Coach Pickelman is there, so of course we want to get a big win with this."

The Cowboys can get things back on track on Saturday over at McMurry.

They take on the War Hawks for the first time since 2012.

The men's game is the second of the day at 3 p.m.

The women gets things started at Kimbrell Arena at 1 p.m.
