The Cooper Cougars were swept this evening in their district contest with the Lubbock Cooper Pirates. The boys fell to the Pirates by ten, 66-56. They're now 0-1 in district play. The Lady Cougars fell in their game 47-24. They are now 0-3 in district.
Starting first with the boys. The Pirates were able to get it to Jarrett Doege. He hit his shot to extend the Lubbock Cooper lead.
Later, the Cougars kicked it out to Elijah Johnson. He was open for the three, and nailed it.
Cooper though would lose their district opener. They fall 66-56.
In the girls game, the Lady Pirates were leading in the third quarter. They kicked it to Addie Fuller in the corner, and she nailed her shot to extend the lead to 14.
The Lady Cougars tried to stay in it. Yasmin Booker grabbed the rebound and got her putback to go.
But in the end the Lady Cougars fall in this one 47-24. They're now 0-3 in district play.
