Lady Eagles Like What They're Seeing

The Abilene High Lady Eagles are playoff bound for the second straight year, and they're feeling pretty good about that.

With just one game left in the regular season the ladies feel like not only are they playing their best softball to this point in the season, they feel like they're playing the best softball in years.

Cierra Woodyard said, "I feel like we're definitely playing better than we've ever played in the past 16 years considering we hadn't been to playoffs in 8, and then we haven't won in about 16 since last year, so 2 years in a row is pretty good."

"I feel like we're doing really well," Kaylen Washington said. "I'm really excited for what we have in the future. I don't know, I'm just really ready for it to come and see how we do."

Steven Childress said, "I think the girls are really excited to do this for the second year in a row, and we actually did it a week earlier than we did last year which is good. Last year it was the very last game of the season."

Friday night the Lady Eagles travel to Keller to take on Fossil Ridge at 5.
